“People are not disturbed by things, but by the view they take of them.”- Albert Ellis

What we feel is shaped not only by what happens, but by the meaning we give it. Our thoughts quietly color our experience, often without us noticing. When we become aware of this, we can also change it! It’s not about denying reality-it’s about meeting it with a kinder, more flexible mind... and this is how "Share that Thought" Therapy was created. As a safe space to create gentler, more helpful perspectives. Shall we?

Our Therapy Space in Leiden!

Located in Leidse Hout city forest! A safe space, nestled in green!

What you should expect from our sessions

To be seen, heard, and respected.
My goal is to help you reflect on your thoughts, feelings, and patterns, and understand what is important FOR YOU.
I aim to offer:✔️ A supportive and collaborative approach tailored to your needs✔️ Evidence-based strategies to help you manage difficulties and grow✔️ A focus on self-understanding, emotional resilience, and meaningful change.

What you should not expect from our sessions

Therapy is a process, not a quick fix.
You should not expect:❌ Instant solutions. Change takes time and effort❌ Advice-giving. My role is to help you guide your life, not dictate your choices❌ A one-size-fits-all approach. Every session is personalized to you
I can be there for you as you heal, reflect, and grow, but in the end, only YOU know how to find YOUR way.

How it works:

Start with a free 20-minute video-call to better understand your particular needs and how I can help.

  • icon

Together, we will set your therapy goals and set a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs!

  • icon

We will dig deeper into your goals! That can look like:- Identifying patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors- Learning coping tools (e.g., grounding, reframing thoughts)- Practicing new ways of responding to situations- Reflecting on real-life experiences between sessionsRemember: It’s not instant change, it’s gradual and layered. The purpose of therapy is to eventually end, with a stronger, more mindful version of YOU.

  • No. I am not collaborating with any Dutch Health insurance at the moment.

However, I keep my rates affordable so that more people can access the support they need.

  • Finding a psychologist is a highly personal process, because therapy is an interaction! It is nice to consider what approach would fit your needs better (e.g., CBT, Systemic, Psychoanalytical etc)., and search online for psychologists in your area of interest. Through Websites, you can usually get a basic idea of their approach and areas of expertise! Most psychologists offer a free, short consultation, which can offer a nice way to "check" if it felt trusted, safe and comfortable to talk to them!
On a more practical level, it is very important to ensure that the psychologist you are working with holds advanced degrees and is properly registered with a respected board or licensing body [e.g., NIP for The Netherlands, etc]. *You can also ask them to provide you with licensure information! You have every right to ensure their professional accreditation!
Keep in mind: Some people don’t find the right psychologist the first time! If this happens to you - it is not your fault. You have already decided you would benefit from therapy, so it is worth trying again and booking an appointment with another psychologist.

  • Therapy is an investment in ourselves - the greatest gift to our future versions.
However, I stand by the opinion that therapy should be accessible to everyone, and that is the reason I keep my fees affordable, at 90 euros per session (45 mins).
*Discounts are available for students, unemployed and individuals with low incomes.
